Consolidate Shipments

The process below outlines how to consolidate shipments already created into either a single shipment (i.e. if grouping pallets into a single truck) or into a single line haul shipment.

During the course of a shipping day/week, there come opportunities to group shipments together to save on transportation cost, or provide for a better overall delivery experience for your customers.

1. Starting the process

To consolidate shipments after they have already been processed, Go to the Shipping Utilities screen and click on the Create Consolidated Shipment button:

Once that window opens, enter your ship date and press the button to the right of the Carrier list. This button refreshes the list to only show carriers you used that day. Select your carrier here and click Search.

2. Selecting shipments

Once you have searched with the desired criteria, you should see a list of shipments that meet those requirements. From here, select the orders you would like to consolidate together, and click Submit

3. Finalizing shipment

Once the shipments have been selected, the system will then prompt you for some final information about this shipment.

Fill out this form as needed, and click Submit. Once submitted, the system will combine these records into a single shipment and will attempt to post that shipment to the necessary carrier.

If successful, the system will generate the necessary paperwork and will inform you the process was successful. If the process failed, the system will load the shipment to the UI for the user to correct anything needed from their end.
