We've been made aware of an upcoming update for CanPar's API that may affect the connection with SHIPSTORE. If you are a cloud customer, or your enterprise solution is hosted by SHIPSTORE, no action is needed on your end. For all self-hosted customers, as long as your SHIPSTORE application is operating on a server version currently supported by Microsoft, no changes should be needed outside of monthly Windows security updates.

Full message from CanPar below:

Canpar will be implementing an upgrade to the security protocols on their API & Web servers on June 26th, 2022.  After June 26th Canpar will only support HTTPS requests and TLS 1.2 and above.  Versions of TLS prior to TLS 1.2 have all been deprecated.

TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are out-of-date protocols that do not support modern cryptographic algorithms, and they contain security vulnerabilities that may be exploited by attackers. In addition, the vast majority of encrypted Internet traffic is now over TLS 1.2, which was introduced over a decade ago.

If you are submitting HTTP requests, they will need to be changed to HTTPS.  There will be no down time required for this change.

You can test your applications on the Canpar public test server to prepare for this change.
