Summary: A batch will not finish when your UPS carrier account has a leftover duplicate record from an add that was never finished. Remove the unfinished duplicate account and keep the one that is fully connected, then run the batch again.

Problem

You run a batch and it will not complete. You get a carrier or sign-in error, and it started after a UPS account was added or added again.

Cause

A UPS account was added, but the step where you log in to UPS to connect it was never finished. That left a bad, half-finished account record. A second, good record for the same account was added later. Shipstore keeps trying to get a fresh UPS connection for the half-finished record and cannot, so the batch errors.

How to check: Open your carrier settings and look at the UPS accounts. If you see two records for the same UPS account and one shows as not connected or not authorized, that is the leftover record causing the error.

Fix

  1. Go to Settings > Carriers and find your UPS accounts.
  2. Find the duplicate record whose UPS connection was never finished (it shows as not connected or not authorized).
  3. Remove that unfinished duplicate record. Keep the record that is fully connected.
  4. Open the record you kept and check that it shows as connected or authorized.
  5. Run the batch again.

If you cannot tell which record is the unfinished one, or you cannot remove it, email support@shipstore.com and include your company name and the name of the UPS account.

What you should see

Only one UPS account record remains and it shows as connected. The batch completes without the carrier or sign-in error.
