Steps

  1. Open the batch Defaults.
  2. Set the POD (Proof of Delivery) field to require a signature. This is what marks the shipment signature required; there is no field literally called Signature Required.
  3. Leave Shipper Release unset. Shipper Release is the opposite: it lets the carrier deliver without a signature.
  4. Process the batch.

What you should see

The processed shipments in the batch ask for a signature at delivery (POD), and Shipper Release is not applied.

If something goes wrong

  • You only see Shipper Release and no signature option. That is expected. Use the POD field, not a Signature Required field, to require a signature.
