Summary: When only some rows of a batch import fail, the failing rows are usually international shipments and the file is missing the required International Options columns. Add those columns and the rows process with the domestic ones.
Problem
You imported a large spreadsheet to create batch labels. Some rows processed and the rest returned processing errors. The file has both domestic and international destinations.
Cause
The failing rows are the international shipments, and the file is missing the required International Options columns (the customs data). Domestic rows have everything they need, but international rows cannot process without the international fields, so they error.
How to check: Look at which failing rows are international. If they are, and your file has no international or customs columns, that is the cause.
Fix
- Find which failing rows are international shipments.
- Add the required International Options columns to your import file. Use the sample import template to get the correct column headers.
- Fill in the international data for each international row (for example, description, value, and country of origin as required).
- Re-import the file and process. Domestic and international shipments can now run together in one batch.
- If you are not sure which international columns your account requires, email support@shipstore.com with your company name and a copy of your import file.
What you should see
All rows in a mixed domestic and international file process without the earlier errors, and the international shipments produce labels and customs data.
