Summary: An Amazon Shipping token error usually clears after a few minutes and a hard refresh. If it does not, delete the Amazon carrier record, add the account again, and sign in to Amazon.

Problem

You try to rate or ship with Amazon Shipping and you get this message:

Access Token Expired

Signing in to Amazon Shipping outside Shipstore works fine. Sometimes it is one station, sometimes everyone.

Cause

Shipstore saves a sign-in token from Amazon (the code that proves Shipstore may ship on your Amazon account). That token has expired or gone stale, so Amazon turns the request down. A refresh normally gets a new one.

How to check: if every station fails at the same moment, and re-adding the account does not help, the cause is on Shipstore's side and support has to correct it centrally.

Fix

  1. Wait a few minutes.
  2. Hard refresh the page: hold CTRL and SHIFT and press R. This makes Shipstore pick up a new token.
  3. Try the shipment again.
  4. If it still fails, have your Amazon username and password ready, then delete the Amazon carrier record from your carrier records.
  5. Add the Amazon account again and sign in with your Amazon username and password.
  6. Add the Amazon carrier to the profile you ship on, then try the shipment again.
  7. If every station or the whole account fails at once and adding the account again does not help, email support@shipstore.com. Include the time it started, the profile name, and a screenshot of the message.

What you should see

An Amazon shipment rates and prints a label with no token message, and Amazon shows on the profile's carrier list.
