Adding an EasyPost carrier can fail to save: after you click Save, the Carrier Registration window closes and EasyPost never appears in the carrier list. This is a bug in the EasyPost registration form. The workaround is to check the "Register for Shipstore account" box and then uncheck it before you save. If EasyPost appears and then disappears, that is a browser-cache display glitch; hard refresh.
Problem
You add a new EasyPost carrier (Administration > Carriers, add a record, choose EasyPost, enter a display name and API key, click Save), and the Carrier Registration window closes without adding the carrier. EasyPost is then missing from the Carriers page, or appears and disappears on later visits.
Cause
A bug in the EasyPost registration form treats the account fields as incomplete unless the "Register for Shipstore account" checkbox is toggled. Checking the box and then unchecking it leaves the form valid, so the record saves. The appear-and-disappear behavior on the Carriers page is a browser-cache display glitch, not a lost record.
Fix
- Open Administration > Carriers and add a new carrier record, choosing EasyPost.
- Enter a display name for the account and the API key that EasyPost gave you.
- Check the "Register for Shipstore account" box, then uncheck it. It is not required; toggling it clears the validation bug.
- Click Save. The record now saves and EasyPost shows in the carrier list.
- If EasyPost shows up only sometimes, log out, hard refresh the browser (Ctrl+Shift+F5), and log back in.
- Add the EasyPost services to the profile after the carrier saves.
What you should see
EasyPost stays in the Carriers list after you save and hard refresh, and you can add EasyPost services to a profile and use them to rate and ship.
