Summary: There is no FedEx service called "Ground Saver." The service is FedEx Ground Economy (formerly SmartPost), and it only rates when your FedEx account has a Ground Economy contract.

Problem

You try to ship "FedEx Ground Saver" and it is not available, not selectable, or returns no rate. FedEx does not have a service by that exact name.

Cause

The service people usually mean is FedEx Ground Economy (formerly called SmartPost). It is a contract service: FedEx only returns it once your FedEx account has an active Ground Economy contract. Two other things can hide it even with the contract. In Shipstore's service list it is labeled FedEx SmartPost, so you pick SmartPost to get Ground Economy. And a profile can hold only one FedEx account, so if two FedEx accounts are on the same profile the service will not resolve.

Fix

  1. Confirm the service you want is FedEx Ground Economy (formerly SmartPost), not a service named "Ground Saver."
  2. Ask your FedEx account representative to confirm your FedEx account has an active Ground Economy contract. Without it, the service will not rate.
  3. Once the contract is active, in Shipstore's service list select FedEx SmartPost. This is how Ground Economy is labeled.
  4. Make sure only one FedEx account is attached to the profile. Remove any extra FedEx account so Shipstore knows which account to bill.
  5. Rate a test shipment.

What you should see

With the contract active and SmartPost selected, FedEx Ground Economy returns a rate and produces a label.
