When you close out SpeeDee (Spee-Dee) under Ship > Utilities and it returns an 'incorrect syntax' error, so the daily manifest will not generate:

Cause

The 'incorrect syntax' error is a Shipstore-side defect in the closeout. It starts after a closeout that used to work, and no setting on your side fixes it. Shipstore Development corrects it.

Fix

  1. Email support@shipstore.com and report the SpeeDee closeout 'incorrect syntax' error. Include the affected profile and the date it started.
  2. Support escalates it to Development for a server-side fix.
  3. After the fix is in place, run the SpeeDee closeout again to generate the daily manifest.

If closeout says there are no shipments to add

That is expected when no SpeeDee shipments were processed since the last closeout. Closeout only manifests SpeeDee shipments made since the last one, so if none were made there is nothing to add.

What you should see

After the fix, SpeeDee closeout finishes without the error and produces the daily manifest that includes the SpeeDee shipments made since the last closeout.
