Summary: When you add a UPS account and get code 10400 with Invalid Redirect URL, the UPS sign-in window never opens. The web address UPS sends you back to has to use https, and Shipstore changes that for you.
Problem
You add a new UPS account and get a message with this code and text:
"code": "10400", "message": "Invalid Redirect URL"
The UPS.com sign-in window does not open, so the account cannot be added. This has been seen on sites that run on the customer's own servers.
Cause
When you add a UPS account, Shipstore tells UPS which web address to send you back to after you sign in. UPS turns down an address that starts with http instead of https and answers with code 10400 Invalid Redirect URL. On a site that runs on your own servers that address is part of the site setup, so it has to be corrected on Shipstore's side.
Fix
- Check that the message is code 10400 with the text Invalid Redirect URL, and that it appears while you are adding the UPS account.
- Email support@shipstore.com. Include a screenshot of the message and the web address you use to open Shipstore, and ask for the site's UPS return address to be changed to https.
- When Shipstore confirms the change, add the UPS account again.
- Sign in with your UPS.com username and password to finish adding the account.
What you should see
The UPS sign-in window opens, you sign in, and the account is added with no 10400 message.
