A UPS rate shop does not return competing carriers' rates as data in Shipstore. This comes from the UPS rating agreement, so you cannot capture UPS and FedEx rates together from one UPS rate shop. Rate results are also not saved, so you cannot pull them later for an order that already shipped.
What to do instead
- Rate the orders once with UPS (for example UPS Ground).
- Rate the same orders again with the other carrier (for example FedEx Ground), as a separate run.
- Review or hand off each carrier's results separately, using your grouping (for example a Reference field).
- If you need the comparison for orders that already shipped, re-rate a sample with each carrier, because earlier rate results are not saved.
