This explains how LTL and TL (less-than-truckload and truckload) rating, booking, and dispatch work.
How it works
- Rate the LTL or TL shipment in the Shipstore screen or through the API. The rates you see are the rates you get.
- Book the shipment. The managed LTL service then receives it and dispatches on your behalf. There is no separate dispatch or end-of-day step for LTL.
- Use the LTL rateshop to compare cost against transit time in one place. These are the same rates as the manual (email) route.
