Summary: An LTL (less-than-truckload freight) shipment shows no PRO number right after you process it. The carrier assigns the PRO at pickup, and Shipstore adds it on the nightly update, so it usually appears the next day.
Steps
- Process the LTL shipment and print the BOL (Bill of Lading, the freight shipping document) as usual. Expect the PRO (the freight tracking number) field to be blank at this point.
- Hand the freight to the carrier at pickup. The carrier assigns the PRO number when they pick it up.
- Check the shipment again after the next nightly update, usually the following day. The PRO number will be there.
What you should see
The shipment shows a PRO number after the nightly update that follows pickup.
If something goes wrong
The PRO number is still missing after a couple of days: the carrier may not have recorded the pickup. Confirm the freight was picked up, then email support@shipstore.com with the shipment details.
