How to select Flat Rate options using the ShipStore UI:
SHIPSTORE includes options for flat rate shipping, including OneRate for FedEx shipments. Follow the steps below to enable this option on a single shipment:
- On the shipping screen click the Advanced Options button on the desired package.
2. In the Packaging dropdown, select the Packaging Type you are shipping.
There are many options to choose from in this list, but it really boils down to 2 categories: Flat Rate and Carrier (non Flat Rate).
If you are using a carrier's box but don't want the flat rate charge (i.e. box is extremely light), you would likely use the "Carrier" option for that box since its likely cheaper, otherwise use the corresponding "Flat Rate" option.
3. Once you have entered all the packaging information, click the button in the top right of the window to return to the shipping screen.
Alternatively, if you know you will be using flat rate options frequently, you can set up Service Translations in the system to map specific service codes from your OMS/ERP to these options in the system.
NOTE: Flats through the USPS are non-refundable/voidable.
