A very large order with many line items can time out while it loads on the ship screen, so its BOL will not generate. The order tries to show every line item at once. Regenerate the BOL from Shipment History, or split the order into smaller ones.

Problem

A large order with a high line-item count times out when it loads on the ship screen, and its BOL will not generate. You may see a message that the order is too large to load to the page. The order is fine; it is just too big to show all at once.

Cause

The ship screen shows every line item at once. An order with enough line items goes past what the page can load, so the request times out before the BOL is made. This is a page-load limit on the number of line items, not a problem with the order or the carrier.

Fix

  1. Open Shipment History and search with all statuses included so the pending shipment shows.
  2. Select the affected order.
  3. Under Shipping Functions, choose Print Shipment Reports.
  4. Choose the Straight BOL report to generate or reprint the BOL and the shipping labels.
  5. If the order still will not load, split it into two smaller orders and process each. If you need help, email support@shipstore.com and include your company name and the order number.

What you should see

  • The BOL generates from Shipment History without loading the full order on the ship screen.
  • Labels reprint for the same order through Print Shipment Reports.
