Problem

A report exported as CSV (for example the Shipping Report under Orders > Utilities) opens without a header row, so the columns have no labels.

Cause

Whether a report's CSV includes a header row is controlled by a show-column-headers setting on the report definition. When it is off, the CSV is written without the header row. Some reports also show a CSV option meant for a different report, so the CSV can carry columns that only make sense in the PDF version.

Fix

  1. Note which report and format you are running (for example the Shipping Report in CSV under Orders > Utilities).
  2. Email support@shipstore.com and include that report name, and ask to have column headers turned on for it.
  3. After support confirms, re-run the report in CSV.
  4. If you see unexpected or duplicate columns, ask support to confirm you are running the intended CSV report and not a look-alike.
