Summary
A recurring shipment report is easiest to scope by shipping station, and a few columns behave in ways worth knowing before you read the results.
How to scope and read it
- Filter by station, not customer name. When one program ships under many customer names, filter the report by the shipping stations that program uses. That is a more stable filter than customer name.
- Read LTL quantities from "Total Pallet Count." In a report that mixes parcel and LTL, the "Total Package Count" column shows 1 for LTL rows, so read pallet quantities from "Total Pallet Count."
- Pull it within 30 days if you need ship-to details. Ship-to name and address are removed from shipments older than 30 days, so older rows will show those columns blank. The shipments themselves still appear in the report, and every other column still fills in: only the personal details are removed, not the record.
What you should see
The report returns the expected shipments for the chosen stations, and LTL rows show correct quantities under "Total Pallet Count."
If something goes wrong
You need the report built or saved to your Reports section: email support@shipstore.com and include the stations or scope, the columns you need, and how often you will run it.
Report shipments by delivery or tracking status
To pull the shipments for one day and profile that are undelivered, or that have no tracking scans yet, build it as a shipment report rather than working from the Tracking history screen.
- Open your custom shipment report, or create one.
- Add these columns: last tracked date, profile name, and delivery status.
- Filter the report by ship date and by the profile you want.
- Run it, and read the rows where delivery status is not delivered, or where there is no last tracked date. Those are the undelivered and no-scan shipments.
- Export the report to Excel. The exported file matches the report's columns and filters.
Why not use the Tracking history screen: it has no filter by status, and its Export to Excel does not export the filtered view you are looking at, so what you see on screen cannot be turned into a usable list. The report can.
