Summary: FedEx sells each overnight delivery time as its own service. Choose FedEx First Overnight for early-morning delivery, or FedEx Priority Overnight for delivery by 10:30 a.m.
Problem
You want a FedEx overnight shipment delivered by 8 a.m. or by 10:30 a.m., but you do not see a delivery time option.
Cause
There is no delivery time setting on a shipment. FedEx offers three overnight services, each with its own delivery commitment (as stated by FedEx):
- FedEx First Overnight: next business day by 8 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. to most areas.
- FedEx Priority Overnight: next business day by 10:30 a.m. to most businesses in the contiguous states, and by noon to most residences.
- FedEx Standard Overnight: next business day by 5 p.m. to businesses, and by 8 p.m. to residences.
Exact times depend on the destination. Check the delivery commitment for your destination with FedEx.
Fix
- On the shipping screen, open the Service list.
- Select FedEx First Overnight for early-morning delivery, or FedEx Priority Overnight for 10:30 a.m. delivery.
- If the service you need is not in the list, email support@shipstore.com and ask to have it enabled on your profile.
