Packing
The Packing screen is used to pack the items on an order into boxes before shipping. It is found on the Shipment page by clicking Packing in the Navigation menu on the left side of the screen. The screen is split into three areas: the items on the order, the list of packages, and the details of the currently selected package.
Loading an Order to the Shipment Screen
Enter the order number in the Shipment Number field to load the order’s items for packing. If packing data already exists for the order, for example, an order that was paused and is being resumed, then a prompt will appear asking whether to load the existing data or create new packing data.
Items On Order
The left side of the screen lists every item on the order, showing the item Code, Description, the quantity Ordered, and the quantity still Unpacked. Below the list, running totals show the Total Units on the order and the Units left to Pack.
To pack an item, click its row. A prompt will appear asking how many units to pack into the current package. Enter the quantity and click Finish. Fully packed items turn green in the list.
Packages
The center column lists each package on the order as a numbered button (Pkg 1, Pkg 2, and so on). Click a package to select it. Items you pack are placed into the selected package. The No Package button shows any items that have been packed but not assigned to a box.
Package Details
When a package is selected, the right side of the screen shows its details. Enter the package Weight (or pull it from a connected scale using the download button) and the package Dims (length x width x height). If box types are configured, choose a Box Type to fill the dimensions automatically, or leave it on Custom Dimensions to enter them by hand.
Below the details, the Items list shows everything packed in the selected package. To remove an item from the package, click its row and enter the quantity to unpack.
Actions
The Actions can be found in the side menu bar to the left of the screen while packing:
- Fast Pack — packs all remaining items into the current package in one step.
- Pause Order — saves your progress so the order can be finished later. Loading the order again will prompt to resume the saved packing data.
- Complete Order — finishes packing and carries the packages onto the shipment.
- Add Box — adds a package. Choose Add New for an empty box or Copy Current to duplicate the selected box.
- Remove Box — deletes the selected package.
- Unpack Box — returns the selected package’s items to the unpacked list.
- Unpack Order — unpacks everything and starts over.
Palletizing LTL Shipments
For LTL shipments, every box must be assigned to a pallet after packing is complete. On the LTL Shipping screen, click Palletize in the Actions menu and assign each box to a pallet.
