When Print Return Label is checked, the shipment can fail because the return leg has no package description.

Problem

The shipment processes normally until you check Print Return Label. Then it fails with a missing package description. Unchecking the box lets it ship, but with no return label.

Cause

A return shipment needs a package description (a Return Description) for the return leg. When that field is blank, the return label cannot be built and the shipment errors. An outbound-only shipment does not need it, which is why it ships when the box is unchecked.

Fix

  1. Open the shipment's package details (the description field is under the package cog wheel).
  2. Enter a Return Description for the package (describe the item being returned).
  3. Re-check Print Return Label and process the shipment.

What you should see

The shipment processes with Print Return Label checked, and a return label prints next to the outbound label.
