Why an old shipment shows only city, state, and ZIP

Summary: For a shipment more than 30 days old, Shipstore shows only the city, state, and ZIP because the name and street address are removed after 30 days to protect personal data. To see how the label printed, reprint it to a Zebra printer, which reproduces the full ship-to address.

Problem

When you open an older order, the Ship To shows only the city, state, and ZIP, not the recipient's name and street address, and you need to confirm how the label actually printed.

Cause

Shipstore removes personal shipment details (the recipient's name and street address) after 30 days to protect that data. Only the non-personal city, state, and ZIP stay visible on screen. The shipment record itself is not deleted: it stays in shipping history and in reports, with everything except those personal fields. The label image can still be reprinted. Orders that came in through an integration work the same way.

The same 30-day removal blanks the recipient name and the Address 1 field in custom reports run against older shipments, so a report on an old shipment can show an empty Address 1 even though the report itself is working.

Fix

Open the shipment in Shipment History.
Reprint the label to a Zebra printer. The reprinted label shows the full ship-to name and address exactly as it first printed.
If you need to find shipments that never showed tracking movement, email support@shipstore.com and ask about a report that flags labels with no tracking activity in a time period you choose.
Going forward, export or save the detail you need within the first 30 days, before it is removed. After 30 days a document that needs the full recipient identity, such as a Commercial Invoice, cannot be fully recreated.
