Summary: Set up the Merchant App on a newly installed station so it prompts for a station ID, signs in, and prints to your local label printer. Use these steps when a new station skips the station ID box, will not log in, or accepts a print job that never reaches the printer.

Before you start

  • The Merchant App is installed on the new station.
  • You have a working station nearby to compare settings against.
  • The local label printer is turned on and shared on the network.

Steps

  1. Open the Merchant App advanced settings. Confirm the server settings match a known-good station at your site.
  2. Clear the browser cache on the new station and allow pop-ups for the Shipstore site.
  3. Close and reopen the Merchant App so the station ID box appears.
  4. Enter the station ID when the box appears.
  5. Confirm the local label printer is reachable from the station and is set as the label printer.
  6. Process one test label and check that it reaches the local print queue.

What you should see

The station ID box appears at sign-in, you can assign an ID, and a test label prints. The new station processes shipments the same as your other stations.

If something goes wrong

  • No station ID box appears: the browser cache or a blocked pop-up is hiding it. Clear the cache, allow pop-ups for the Shipstore site, and reopen the app.
  • A label is accepted but never prints: the local printer share is not set. Confirm the printer share is reachable and selected as the label printer.
  • Still cannot sign in: email support@shipstore.com and include your company name and the station name.
