Before you start

This is for LTL shipments (for example, FedEx Freight). You need admin access to Business Rules.

Steps

  1. Check that the shipment is LTL and processes without errors.
  2. Add a Business Rule that generates the BOL (the Bill of Lading, the freight shipping document) automatically after the LTL shipment processes.
  3. Save the rule and process a test LTL shipment.
  4. Confirm the BOL prints on its own for the driver at pickup.

What you should see

A processed LTL shipment produces the BOL automatically. The driver gets the BOL, and the carrier applies the PRO number (the freight tracking number) at pickup.

If something goes wrong

No parcel-style label prints: that is expected for LTL. The BOL is the shipping document; there is no scannable parcel label.
