Summary

There is no bulk delete and no export report for stations, and deleting a lot of them one at a time can run the page out of memory and force a reload. To clear out a large number of stations you no longer use, send Shipstore support a list with the ones to remove marked, and they are deleted on the back end. That removal is paid time.

Before you start

Know which stations are really finished: closed locations, duplicates, and PCs that were replaced. A deleted station cannot be brought back, so anything still in use has to stay off the list.

Steps

  1. Go to Station Administration and look through the station list.
  2. If you want the list in a file to work from, email support@shipstore.com and ask for the current list of stations for your site. There is no self-service export for stations.
  3. Mark the stations to remove clearly on the list, and check that each one is truly out of use.
  4. Send the marked list back to support@shipstore.com and ask for those stations to be removed. Support passes the list to development, who delete them on the back end. This is paid time.
  5. When you are told the removal is done, open Station Administration again and check the list.

What you should see

The stations you marked are gone from the station list, and the stations you still ship from are untouched.

If something goes wrong

The page freezes or reloads while you delete stations one at a time: that is the page running out of memory on a long station list. Stop deleting them one by one and send the marked list to support instead.

A station you still need was removed: add it again in Station Administration, then set it up on that PC. See the related article on setting up a station.
