A station does not print labels: the shipment processes fine, but no label reaches the printer. This usually means the printer name saved for that station in Shipstore does not exactly match the printer name in Windows.
Cause
Shipstore sends the print job to the printer name saved in the station's settings. If that name does not exactly match the Windows printer name (a typo, a renamed printer, or a newly added printer), the job has nowhere to go and nothing prints, even though the label was created.
How to check
Open Windows Printers & scanners and compare the exact printer name there with the printer name set on the station in Shipstore.
Fix
- In Windows, open Printers & scanners and note the exact printer name.
- In Shipstore, open Station Administration and edit the affected station.
- Set the station's printer to match the Windows printer name exactly, and save.
- Log out of the Merchant App and Shipstore. Log back into the Merchant App first, then Shipstore, so the station reloads the corrected printer.
- Print a test label.
Any Admin user can make this change; it does not need a support session.
What you should see
A test label prints to the right printer, and printing keeps working after you log back in.
