An LTL BOL will not print or opens blank

Summary: An LTL BOL (Bill of Lading, the freight document you hand the driver) opens in a pop-up window. A pop-up blocker can stop it, so the window is blank or nothing opens. Allow pop-ups for the Shipstore site, then make the BOL again.

Problem

You fill out and generate an LTL BOL, but it does not print. The window goes blank or nothing appears. It is on-and-off ("works when it wants to") and happens on more than one computer. The same thing can stop shipping labels from opening when they come out as a PDF (for example when a station is not linked).

Cause

The BOL opens in a browser pop-up window. When the pop-up blocker is on (it is on by default in most browsers, and sometimes set by your IT team), the BOL window is blocked and looks blank, even though the shipment itself processed. If you were returned to a new shipment screen, the shipment did process. The on-and-off behavior matches the blocker allowing some pop-ups and not others.

Fix

In your browser, allow pop-ups for the Shipstore site (add it to the pop-up allow list).
Make the BOL again. It should open and print on the first try.
For a shipment you already processed, open it in Shipment History and reprint the document named Factory BOL.
If PDF shipping labels also do not open, add the Shipstore site to your browser's Trusted Sites, then reload and try again.
If pop-ups are controlled by your IT team or a company policy, ask them to allow the Shipstore site.

What you should see

With pop-ups allowed, the BOL opens and prints on the first try, and the Factory BOL reprints from Shipment History without going blank.
