Summary: A domestic shipment fails to process with error 9999 because Use Electronic Form is turned on. That option builds an international customs form, so turning it off for the domestic shipment lets it process.
Problem
You process a domestic shipment and it fails with no label. The screen shows:
error 9999
The same shipment works once you turn off Use Electronic Form.
Cause
Use Electronic Form tells Shipstore to build and send an electronic customs form (the digital paperwork a package needs to cross a border). Customs forms are only for international shipments. When the option is on for a domestic shipment, the request is not valid and it fails with the general error 9999.
Fix
- Open the shipment on the Ship page.
- Find the Use Electronic Form option on the shipment.
- Uncheck Use Electronic Form.
- Process the shipment again. It should finish and print a label.
- Going forward, turn on Use Electronic Form only for international shipments and leave it off for domestic ones.
What you should see
The domestic shipment processes and prints a label, with no error 9999.
